Spring-Summer 2019 Haul: Alba Rosa, Liz Lisa & More!
Hello gals! I wanted to share my latest haul from Mercari, Fril Japan and some local thrift stores!
I am obsessed with the old school ganguro look from the 90s at the moment, especially the sleeveless top + pencil skirt silhouette, paired with platforms. I have started collecting anything and everything with tropical, hibiscus, or banana leaf prints, with bright colours like teal and yellow, but especially all shades of orange, from corals to burnt orange, as I'm loving its warm contrast with my tanned skin.

You and Me Japan Review: Liz Lisa Floral Skirt
Hello gals!
Today I would like to share my experience with the second hand JFashion online store You and Me Japan (@youandmejapan on Instagram).
You and Me Japan sells second hand Liz Lisa and Swankiss items for a reasonable price. They have a very small selection of items but I think they stock prints that I haven't easily found in eBay stores for example. I had originally ordered this skirt through Mercari, but the transaction fell through, so I decided to test this store instead!

LED Platform Sneakers
Best Christmas present I've received ever <3
Ever since I saw a friend share her new shoes on Instagram they have been on my wishlist. I nearly died when I received them as a present (⌒_⌒;)
Overall the quality is okay, the LED platforms are solid and I think with care they can last a long time. The shoes themselves are made of the typical synthetic material most taobao/eBay shoes are usually made of, they are fairly comfortable but I do use my special insoles to counteract how flat they are!
By pressing a button on the inside the LED switch to 7 different colors (red, green, blue, yellow, aqua, pink, white) and a 'rave' setting :D
The shoes come with a dual USB cable to charge them ^^When the battery starts to run out I noticed the colors start changing (the white turned yellowish for example) so its a good way of knowing when to charge them again.
I have already worn them twice and honestly its so funny to watch people's reactions. I think they are better during daylight cause they don't seem as bright, at night you are a walking disco haha. My friends were using me as a torch (〃 ̄ω ̄〃)ゞ

Skinfood Good Afternoon - Honey Black Tea BB Cream (review) + I'M LATE makeup tutorial
I'm a bit lazy when it comes to beauty and skincare and I'm not that good at makeup anyway so when I first heard of BB creams (y'know, when everyone and their mum was writing about them some years ago) I was over the moon. I decided to see what the fuss was about and got a Korean BB cream.
I went for two different ones by Missha (Perfect Cover and Signature Real). I was happy with both for months until I realised that I was applying SPF40 plus whitener products on my skin which is no-no for me :( I want to keep my tan please! I do recommend Missha Perfect Cover if you are not bothered by this because they have a wider range of shades for darker skin and/or yellow undertones. Signature Real is only okay for lighter skin tones than mine.
Anywho, trying to look for a good BB cream without whitener was FRUSTRATING. But finally someone recommended the Skinfood Good Afternoon range! I found someone who sells it on eBay for just £5 which is very reasonable.
Now this is quite a nice BB cream if you aren't looking for crazy coverage, or if you have pretty good skin already and just need something to even out your skin tone. I really love that just using a tiny bit makes me instantly look more awake and 'fresh'. It is slightly too light for me, so I do have to set the BB cream with some loose powder. The powder tones down the 'dewy' effect and makes the BB cream match my skin a bit better.

So this is my basic, basic makeup routine. I do this when I'm in a massive rush, or on the go if I have a secluded seat on the train (aka the I'M LATE makeup look, or the Basic of Basics for Makeup Noobies). It is pretty minimalistic, but it only takes about five minutes to apply!

Purchased: Bodyline shoes258 (review)

I really love the chunky platforms and I don't really have any gothic shoes, so I decided to get this pair of platform heels from Bodyline.
After reading about a hundred different reviews about their designs I though that these ran small (like
the RHS) and ordered them in 24.5cm thinking of fitting my medical insoles inside. Big mistake! They were ENORMOUS! I had to sell them and repurchase them in my actual size (23.5cm) and they are actually pretty roomy, so once I adjusted the straps they were beautifully comfy. They don't run big enough to size down, so if adjusting the straps isn't enough I think the issue is easily corrected with insoles.

I'm so amazing at capturing full body shots... -_- |
As you can see, I have started a Youtube channel! I find making videos inspires me to try and get better with makeup and hair. I've never recorded myself before tough, so I hope I'm not too awkward... m(_ _)m

Taobao (Winter '15) Haul (+ Taobaoring)
Aaaahh it is here! My winter Taobao haul :3 I am so happy with all of the items, but especially with the over the knee boots.
I have finally switched shopping services and this time I decided to try out Taobaoring. After past experiences with both Pruany and Taobaospree I am super pleased with them. Taobaoring's shopping cart system is very easy to use, their English impeccable, and any queries are answered pretty fast.I paid for EMS shipping and the package took exactly 7 days to arrive (it got detained at UK Customs). The packaging is secure (everything was fitted snuggly) and all of my purchases are wrapped individually as well.

Purchased: Demonia STOMP (review)

Came across this photo on Tumblr and I just had to have them! And a year later I finally found a second hand pair on eBay, they were a steal…⋆ฺ (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و

Hey baby ( ° ᴗ°)~ð (/❛o❛\) |
The platform shape is wide so stability is not an issue, but I find that the grip on the ankles is too little to be effective, because the shoes are pretty heavy, and therefore not as comfy to walk in as I was expecting them to be (although this might be because of my foot structure problems). They do look pretty dramatic though!

Purchased: A·Shine Platform Converse (review)
I think these A·Shine shoes are the best platform Converse I have bought from eBay. I have been buying platform converse from different sellers in the past year and most of them didn't last long because the platform was made of a soft material that wore out very easily (like Max Star ones pictured below).
I was really pleased with these pair from A·Shine (link) because they have a proper solid platform! The stitching is good and they came in a box with a pair of insoles included (ღ˘⌣˘ღ).

Purchased: Jeffrey Campbell Stinger Spike (review)
My beloved Jeffrey Campbell Stinger Spikes, purchased via Solestruck. I have been longing for these since seeing Juria Nakagawa and other Japanese street stylers wearing them.
However it is disappointing to spend so much + customs to have a pair of shoes which break this easily. Therefore. FOR THE LOVE OF THE UNIVERSE have some rivets put in, the plastic is incredibly delicate. I do wish JC had deigned to add them himself (¬_¬’)

Lockshop Mermaid Wig (Black)
I finally ordered a wig I had been eyeing for a while, the Mermaid wig by Lockshop. It is a long, natural looking wavy wig and supposedly very versatile for lolita and other jfashions. I also ended up getting a pair of cute matching hair buns!

It arrived packed carefully, and wrapped in tissue paper and with a complimentary wig cap.

This is the parting. Now being my first wig and being a noob and all, I was really disappointed because the hair parting was bent and had a bump, and I thought it was a flaw. I wrote to Lockshop about it and she apologised and gave me a discount voucher, which was really nice of her to be honest. I fixed the parting by combing and moving it a tiny bit to the side. Now that I own more wigs I don't think it was that big of a deal, but anyway.

The hair buns are perfect and the cutest thing on Earth! ^^
